About the Job
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Interprets blueprints and building specifications to
map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials
Installs piping, fixtures and equipment, such as water heaters, sinks
and toilets, piping for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids
Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to
installation Assembles fittings and valves for installation Modifies
length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a
building Uses saws and pipe cutters and other tools as necessary
Installs heating systems Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other
problems Analyses problems and identifies appropriate tools and
materials for repairs Chooses plumbing materials based on budget,
location, and intended uses of building Writes reports documenting
problems and summary of actions taken Performs inspections of plumbing
systems to identify and replace worn parts Maintains a clean job site:
picking up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day in
order to eliminate potential hazards Loading and unloading trucks and
hauling and hoisting materials * OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a State of Wisconsin Master or Journeyman
license Must possess a valid State of Wisconsin driver's license
