Job Details
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work Order Management: Plan, prioritize, and complete assigned work orders accurately and promptly, following approved methods. Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to retrieve and enter work orders.
- Mechanical Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, diagnose, repair, modify, and install mechanical equipment such as refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, condensers, pumps, valves, and expansion valves.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, heating and ventilation systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and evaporative coolers, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Facilities Management Support: Contribute to building automation systems, food service equipment repairs, HVAC installation, and other mechanical services to ensure smooth facility operations.
- System Repairs: Repair and maintain low-pressure hot water systems, gas wall heaters, ventilation units, and air conditioning units to ensure they are functioning optimally.
- Vendor Procurement: Source and procure pricing for tools, equipment, supplies, and parts required for projects or repairs.
- System Installations & Adjustments: Install, adjust, and maintain components such as switches, thermostats, gauges, valves, transformers, and pressure regulators.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all HVAC and refrigeration systems comply with current building codes and industry standards.
- Training & Cross-Training: Provide training and resources to team members to improve their skills and facilitate cross-training for broader team capabilities.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the overall maintenance needs of the facility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years working as a part of commercial construction or commercial HVAC
- HVAC Class/Limited Journeyman License
- EPA I and II or Universal License and HVAC Certification.
