You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing building mechanical equipment and components. This includes installing, diagnosing, inspecting, servicing, and repairing various heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

Job Details

Primary Responsibilities:

Work Order Management: Plan, prioritize, and complete assigned work orders accurately and promptly, following approved methods. Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to retrieve and enter work orders.
Mechanical Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, diagnose, repair, modify, and install mechanical equipment such as refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, condensers, pumps, valves, and expansion valves.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, heating and ventilation systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and evaporative coolers, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
Facilities Management Support: Contribute to building automation systems, food service equipment repairs, HVAC installation, and other mechanical services to ensure smooth facility operations.
System Repairs: Repair and maintain low-pressure hot water systems, gas wall heaters, ventilation units, and air conditioning units to ensure they are functioning optimally.
Vendor Procurement: Source and procure pricing for tools, equipment, supplies, and parts required for projects or repairs.
System Installations & Adjustments: Install, adjust, and maintain components such as switches, thermostats, gauges, valves, transformers, and pressure regulators.
Code Compliance: Ensure all HVAC and refrigeration systems comply with current building codes and industry standards.
Training & Cross-Training: Provide training and resources to team members to improve their skills and facilitate cross-training for broader team capabilities.
Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the overall maintenance needs of the facility.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
5 years working as a part of commercial construction or commercial HVAC
HVAC Class/Limited Journeyman License
EPA I and II or Universal License and HVAC Certification.
