Job Title: Texas Journeyman Electrician

Pay Range: $20-28/hr
Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and licensed Texas Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and state regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a dedication to delivering excellent service.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to determine the layout and installation of wiring and electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations during installation and maintenance tasks.
- Perform electrical inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostic testing to identify and resolve electrical malfunctions.
- Replace or repair defective components, wiring, or equipment using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with other team members, including contractors and engineers, to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Provide exceptional customer service, address client concerns, and offer appropriate recommendations for electrical system improvements or upgrades.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
- Stay up to date with industry advancements, electrical codes, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- TDLR Journeyman Electrician License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience working as a Journeyman Electrician.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and Texas electrical codes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within established deadlines.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
