GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is responsible for executing the trade of electrician on residential and commercial construction projects while providing support to Electrician Supervisor. This position reports to the Electrician Supervisor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities are the basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform. - Demonstrate and enforce established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Read plans, blueprints, job orders, and drawings to accurately plan projects.
- Demonstrate skills on tasks such as installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all tools and equipment and ensure are in good working order.
- Actively participate in training sessions and department meetings.
- Assist in the vocational counseling and development of Apprentices' skills.
- Determine materials, tools, and equipment needed for projects and establish the logistics needed for transportation of items.
- Serve as a mentor and assist the Carpenter Supervisor with supervision and training of Carpenter Apprentices.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Five-years of experience in electrician field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with Tribes and Native Communities.
Journeyman Electrician Status.
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Nisqually Indian Tribe's vehicle insurance policy within one year of employment.
- Must have experience leading others in the construction industry.
- Must be willing and able to work on all Nisqually Indian Tribe owned properties, which may include travel.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
SUPERVISION
This position does not supervise.
