Job Description: Licensed Electrician
Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of electrical systems across various commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
Position Details: We are looking for a permanent team member who is state-licensed and able to travel with their own vehicle for deployments, which may last several weeks. The role requires transferring materials such as conduit.
The Electrician must be capable of working independently, following instructions, and leading a team of three. Experience as a lead/foreman is required. Proficiency in service work and commercial projects is essential. Experience with apps for check-in/out, updates, and deliverables is a plus but not required.
During the initial evaluation period, candidates will use their personal vehicle, with mileage and windshield pay provided. Hotel and food per diem will be covered. Vehicle eligibility will be discussed after the evaluation period.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing: Diagnose and repair electrical components, ensuring newly installed systems and devices are operational.
Troubleshooting & Installation: Address electrical issues, install new wiring, and update outdated systems, including lighting, fuse boxes, and generators.
Training & Leadership: Train co-workers as needed, manage multiple tasks, meet project deadlines, and maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical systems meet local, county, state, or federal codes and legal requirements. Adhere to all project safety requirements set by the company, customers, or OSHA.
Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts while maintaining positive relationships at all levels.
Field Deliverables: Manage project documentation, including pictures, signed checklists, and As-Built drawings.
General Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Licensure: Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician at the state level.
Experience: Proven experience as a Lead or Foreman Electrician and as a Commercial and/or Industrial Electrician.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel for 1-3 weeks at a time throughout the region and work on-call, day, night, weekend, or overtime shifts as required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, SOW documents, and knowledge of industry standards and current NEC requirements.
Tools & PPE: Own basic hand tools and personal protective equipment. Certified to operate a BOOM or scissor lift and work at heights.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to coach, motivate, and mentor field staff. Excellent customer relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Dependability: Reliable with a clean driving record and the ability to pass pre-screening tests.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other relevant software.
Problem-Solving: Advanced troubleshooting skills, effective problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
Compliance: Ability to pass drug and background screenings and adherence to all applicable PPE guidelines.
