This role is is full-time in an office based in Carlsbad, CA or Riverside, CA
Salary: 80K-85K
Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Architecture (required)
Full-cycle Revit expertise with portfolio showcasing individually completed work (must be included with resume)
5+ years of experience in production and coordination of documents in all phases of architectural practice.
Software Proficiency: Minimum of two years of Revit experience. Proficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), AutoCAD, and Revit production software.
Licensure: Licensed or actively pursuing licensure.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of drawing setup, layers, plotting/publishing, dimensions, families, attributes, purge/audit/recover, and backup files and view templates.
Ability to prepare complex plans, elevations, and details under the guidance of a supervisor.
Advanced BIM/Revit knowledge for editing requirements, drawing setups for any project, managing BIM files, and resolving BIM issues.
Understanding of architectural and construction industry terminology.
Supervisory experience in reviewing the technical work of junior designers.
SketchUp skills are desirable but not required.
Design Skills:
Support the design team and ensure design intent is followed through all phases.
Participate in office design charrettes.
Proficiency in documenting project design in BIM/Revit, including 3D modeling, product, or material research.
Supervision and Delegation:
Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, for assigning tasks to support staff, consultants, and vendors.
Ability to delegate assignments respectfully and motivate team members.
Set goals, prioritize tasks, and plan work activities efficiently.
Estimate hours for tasks and complete them within the agreed budget.
Communication and Collaboration:
Effective and professional communication skills.
Ability to ask questions when assignments are unclear.
Coordinate projects with team members and consultants, addressing conflicts and discrepancies.
Regularly update supervisors on the status of work.
Correspond effectively with consultants for CAD/REVIT files and directives.
Participate in professional activities outside the office.
Assist in preparing for interviews and proposals.
Maintain professionalism and respect in all client and consultant interactions.
Ability to work collaboratively on larger projects.
Additional Skills:
Strong graphic presentation and design skills.
Proficiency with current building codes and agency review processes (DSA/HCAI procedures).
Computer skills including Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Lumion.
Ability to lead and delegate in schematic design, design development, and client presentations.
Creativity and original thinking in design issues with attention to detail.
Participation in office design charrettes, team critiques, and pin-ups.
Basic design communication skills via sketching and hand drawings.
Ability to develop 3D modeling of projects and prepare various design communication materials.
Collaboration and participation in team environments.
Proficiency in sustainable design techniques/Green Building Code.
Leading site surveys and the selection and research of building materials and finishes.
Ability to design and delegate project-specific details.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain stationary for at least 50% of the time.
