Position Overview
We are seeking a remote Java Web/Database Application Developer to enhance and maintain critical web applications for a government client in Washington, DC.

Essential Job Duties
Plan, design, debug, and code Java applications, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions on schedule.
Support new development and enhance existing features.
Document technical designs and comply with project security requirements.
Collaborate on project estimates and risk management.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development processes.
Support Sprint Planning and Grooming sessions.
Research, design, and test enterprise systems and applications.
Additional Responsibilities
Adhere to Aleto processes and guidelines.
Participate in performance development meetings.
Attend team and company events to promote company values.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Systems, or related field.
3+ years of experience as a Java/J2EE developer.
Agile development experience and proficiency in automated build and deployment.
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with SDLC.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Java/J2EE, Spring framework, HTML, XML/XSLT, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS, Hibernate, Bootstrap, Jasper reports, and Log4j.
Experience with REST, JSON, SOAP/XML, and web services.
Familiarity with WebLogic, Oracle PL/SQL, modern Java IDEs, and JUnit.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Maven, GitLab).
Required Knowledge and Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Production support and troubleshooting experience.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
Professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
