We are currently seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team and contribute to the development and maintenance of a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) system.
Job Description:
As a Senior Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based services for the SDA system. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, ensuring that the software solutions are high-quality, scalable, and efficient. This role requires a strong background in Java development, experience with modern development frameworks, and a commitment to best practices in software engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
Requirements:
- Must commute to Chantilly, VA or Reston, VA every single day - no remote option.
- We will cover relocation
- Targeting 15 years of experience in Java development. 10 years experience minimum.
- Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
- Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using scripting languages.
- AWS Certification or comparable Cloud experience.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
