Jr Estimator will be responsible assisting in all aspects of bid creation/submission. Candidate possess experience with various software platforms for estimating, creating CAD drawings, layouts and designs using basic design and engineering principles and reviewing the drawings to ensure compliance with drafting standards. Drawings will involve roadways, parking structures, bridges, commercial site plans and other various projects.
**The position will be within the Estimating Team and will heavily be involved with quantity take-offs and estimating. The ideal candidate will have some verifiable background in BIM modeling and wants to grow in this skill and want to advance in the levels of estimating to become a Senior Estimator, performing BIM Modeling and estimating.
- Prepare various support graphics for reports and meetings
- Drafting alignment sheets, site plans, grading, elevations and feature lines.
- Performs basic/routine technical computer-aided drafting and designing (CADD) in accordance with CAD data standards to meet deadlines.
- Assists in assembling and cross-checking construction plans in order to provide an accurate and complete set of bidding documents.
- Provide CAD drafting/BIM modeling and takeoff support.
- Coordinate and manage Sketchup/Revit models.
- Obtain work assignments of either specific design elements or CAD drafting from project managers/estimator.
- Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and support to Revit project team

Requirements
- A minimum of an associate’s degree in civil engineering or construction technology, or technical drafting training and/ or relevant experience.
- 2 years of Sketchup, Revit and AutoCad Experience
- A desire to have a career in estimating and BIM Modeling
- Basic math skill, standard measurement and using a scale ruler
- Understanding of basic design and/or construction
- Knowledge of, and proven practical background in, Autodesk Revit and related Building Information Modeling software.
- This position is in-Office in our Draper, UT location working a minimum of 45 hours per week Monday-Friday.
