Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly and installation of structural steel and other metal components in various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and install metal structures, including beams, columns, and frameworks.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and weld materials as needed.
• Operate forklifts and cranes to move heavy materials safely around the job site.
• Perform stick welding to join metal parts together securely.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.
• Use basic math skills to measure and calculate dimensions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate and lead the team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Experience:

• Proven experience as an Ironworker or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and cranes.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Familiarity with welding techniques, particularly stick welding.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations are essential.
• Experience using Calipers for precise measurements is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is beneficial.
• Able to perform layout work.
