Job Summary
As an Inventory and Planning Specialist - Raw Materials, you will support the Production Manager on performing routine activities associated with material resource planning. Process data into Enterprise One material resource planning system and coordinates scheduling activities to meet internal and external customer demands.
This role will support two facilities, which is locationed in Batavia, NY and Aurora, IL. The candidate must reside near one of the locations.
What will you do?
- Compute amounts of stock required for operations based on production schedules, and coordinate with QH procurement team to order materials as required timely.
- Interface with plant production planning and warehouse supervisors, lab personnel, customer services representatives and commercial team to ensure that impact from raw material availability are timely communicated.
- Determine delivery times and load times for all incoming raw materials; communicate and follow-up with production planner, warehouse supervisor to resolve timing issues.
- Assist planning activities: review customer demands, production methods and batch card instructions to determine and schedule production batches.
- Print WIP labels and finish goods.
- Release Work Orders for the shop floor.
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to do basic computations such as add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to calculate figures, proportions, percentages and volume.
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to apply basic knowledge of systems to troubleshoot problems and take corrective action in a timely manner.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software; Internet software; Order processing systems; Manufacturing software and Database software.
In accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements, the expected salary for this position is $27.00- $31.00 per hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
