Job Summary: Inventory Control Coordinator
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all materials and supplies necessary for the efficient performance of company operations are in place. They will create and maintain the inventory management system and train staff on system processes. The Inventory Control Coordinator will be in charge of managing inventory and filing systems, coordinate inventory and par levels with clinic staff, and keeping track of documentation related to deliveries and disposal. The Inventory Control Coordinator will also be expected to identify potential gaps in workflow that hinder efficiency and report to management.
Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Maintain and implement inventory management system across the JPCHC network.
- Work directly with vendors to assess needs, delays, discontinued items and backlog.
- Train staff on new inventory system virtually and in person.
- Travel to JPCHC sites to implement inventory system and staff training.
- Create an inventory log of items used at JPCHC.
- Complete mandatory monthly audits to assess usage and waste.
- Record and manage expired items.
- Research and implement process improvement within the inventory system.
- Track and manage inventory shared between sites.
- Work with site managers to maintain budget of supplies.
- Work with Finance and CMO to trial/integrate new items.
- Work with IT to suggest improvements on creating/implementing inventory system.
- Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
- Develop business relationships with vendors and sites and maintain approved vendor list
- Maintain and distribute COVID/medical supply orders as needed.
- Create and maintain a medical equipment inventory.
- Maintain Specialty Medical Equipment Orders.
- Track and monitor all inventory systems within JPCHC.
- Track and document biweekly clothing distribution. Re-order clothing as needed.
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills required.
- Previous Inventory Control experience.
- Healthcare setting experience preferred.
- Previous experience with conducting training.
- Ability to effectively utilize personal computers MS Office, smart phones, and related technology.
