We are seeking a Full-time Internal Medicine Physician for Myers Park Internal Medicine in Charlotte, NC!
Atrium Health has large ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency Programs. Myers Park Internal Medicine is the primary academic training ground for ambulatory work for residents in our Charlotte-based Internal Medicine Program. This unique practice provides comprehensive care as a certified patient centered medical home primarily to a vulnerable patient population with both medical and social/economic complexities. Atrium Health?is developing a new medical school affiliated with Wake Forest University School of Medicine with its first class to start in 2025. The medical school will emphasize educating underrepresented students in medicine and caring for those in underserved communities.
Myers Park Internal Medicine is a teaching facility and community clinic. It is part of a large integrated physician network with access to system level resources across the care continuum. ? Ideal candidates will be passionate about caring for underserved, medically complex patients within a practice that embodies diversity of race, culture, ethnicity and language. A patient centered focus is the heart of the practice; collegiality, professionalism and compassion are values of greatest importance.
Position Highlights:
- Full-Time, Monday-Friday 7:45am- 5:00pm
- Join current team of 8 physicians, 2 APPs, and 54 Residents, and Staff
- 90% ambulatory continuity clinic & 10% precepting
- APP supervision responsibilities
- Clinical responsibilities will include patient care at the Myers Park Internal Medicine practice, along with precepting Internal Medicine residents and medical students
- Faculty responsibilities will include Evaluating residents and students, serving as an advisor for residents, and developing relevant curricula. Research is optional but encouraged.
- Opportunity to do typical outpatient procedures like, benign lesion removals, joint injections, etc.
