Job Title: Personal and Commercial Lines Producer
Location: Ontario
Job Summary:
The Personal and Commercial Lines Producer is responsible for identifying potential clients, developing relationships, and selling personal and commercial insurance policies. This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong sales skills and a thorough understanding of insurance products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and prospect potential clients for personal and commercial insurance products.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to understand clients' needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
Present insurance products and services to clients in a clear and professional manner.
Negotiate terms and conditions with clients and underwriters to close sales.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing clients' inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Conduct regular reviews of clients' insurance portfolios to ensure coverage adequacy and offer additional products as needed.
Assist clients with claims processing and provide guidance throughout the claims process.
Marketing and Networking:
Participate in networking events, industry associations, and community activities to promote the agency and generate leads.
Develop and execute marketing campaigns to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Utilize social media, digital marketing, and other tools to enhance visibility and reach a broader audience.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and policy details in the agency management system.
Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to management.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and new insurance products.
Continuous Learning and Development:
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry knowledge and skills.
Obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications as required by state regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in insurance sales, preferably in both personal and commercial lines.
Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting processes, and risk management.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Proficiency in using agency management systems and other relevant software.
Valid insurance producer license(s) as required by the state.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU) are a plus.
Work Environment:
This position may require travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
