About the Job
Roush has an immediate opening for an Instrumentation Coordinator that wants to work with cutting edge technology. The Instrumentation Coordinator will support new build instrumentation, perform walk-around inspections and work with bill of materials. The Instrumentation Coordinator will conduct engineering interactions and oversee the setting up of vehicles for testing. This position is located in Allen Park, MI.
As an Instrumentation Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
" Supporting new build installations
" Performing walk-around inspections to ensure builds are up to customer specifications
" Working with bill of materials to understand what is required for the build
" Conducting engineering interactions and overseeing the set-up vehicles for testing
" Interacting with floor leaders and/or technicians on a frequent basis to review and improve on current instrumentation installations as technologies evolve
" Reporting the status of individual or multiple vehicle builds to the supervisor regularly to ensure milestones are being met
" Working as a team member to find opportunities to improve start to finish installation tasks for continuous marginal improvement of common practices
To be considered as an Instrumentation Coordinator, you will need:
" High school diploma or equivalent
" Minimum 2 years experience in hands-on automotive technician role or instrumentation installation role
" Strong customer relationship, verbal, and written communication skills
" Strong computer skills; fluent with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
" Ability to organize and track information for multiple vehicle builds
" Must have a good attention to detail
" Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and possess a willingness to learn
" Experience with the installation of thermocouples, pressure transducers, and/or accelerometers
Preferred skills / qualifications:
" Associates degree
" Prototype vehicle experience
" Knowledge of automotive wire harness installation practices
" State/ASE certifications
