Overview
This position is responsible for blending and maintenance of liquid fats and oil products.
Responsibilities
- Training with Supervisor to monitor fats/oil mixing at the liquids plant.
- Clear documentation of batch records to maintain traceability.
- Follow the correct sequencing and batching protocols.
- Loading, unloading and heating rail cars.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Collect and turn in daily samples.
- Be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis as required.
- Functionally cross-trained in other support roles.
- Housekeeping: Responsible for clean-up of liquids storage and mixing areas.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Familiar with working with livestock liquid feed ingredients preferred.
- Minimum of one-two (1-2) years of experience in similar role preferred.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of pneumatic tools
- Able to make repairs and perform maintenance on equipment in the field
- Must possess a courageous, but respectful personality
- Must be able to work well with truck drivers as well as customers, salesmen, and operations/production staff and management
- Must represent the company well to customers – must be polite, respectful and customer service oriented
- Must be a good communicator
- Highly self-motivated and self-accountable, requiring little supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Good penmanship
- Highly organized, ability to follow through to ensure all documentation is current and accurate
- Must be fluent in English
Physical Requirments
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb
- Must be comfortable working in sticky and/or dusty and/or noisy environments
Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts.
- The employee will be regularly exposed to very dusty and noisy conditions
- The employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions
- The employee may be exposed to chemicals used in the process
- The employee will be exposed to steam and heated product.
The pay range for this position is $16.50/hr to $19.25/hr. The Company offers paid vacation time, paid sick leave, medical, dental and vision plans as well as a 401(k) with employer match.
