In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting and supporting our customers with their business needs. Your primary focus will be to build strong relationships and gain a deep understanding of each customer’s unique needs and opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Receives incoming telephone/ email orders from customers and accurately enters them in computer system (Syspro)
- Initiates outgoing communication to customers to sell designated products and inform customers of route cut-off information on a day-to-day basis in support of our sales programs and goals.
- Informs customers of new products, programs and services and attempts to up sell or recommend substitutes.
- Listens to customer requests or complaints. Institutes the proper procedure to resolve these issues or to fulfill the customer requests.
- Accurately maintains records and logs to ensure prompt and efficient handling of business.
- Communicates efforts with credit department to ensure that all orders are cleared and released.
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers.
- Reviews open orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Works within established pricing guidelines.
- Communicates back orders to the customer and to purchasing.
- Works with Territory Sales Manager to maintain and grow existing business and identify prospects/sales leads.
- Communicates competitive information and product forecasting when applicable.
- Completes New Product Request forms when needed.
- Accurately answers customers questions regarding products & warranty.
- Able to qualify leads, identify opportunities, influence decisions, and close business opportunities.
- Assists in showroom/counter as required.
- Responsible for the growth of business for a particular region(s) and/or territories and may be assigned specific key accounts.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior inside sales or other selling experience preferred. High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree is preferred. Interest in long term growth and career potential.
- Housing Industry knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to learn new systems, procedures, and a large number of products quickly.
- Detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Questions items that do not look correct and can problem solve on the spot.
- Excellent data entry both in terms of accuracy and quantity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent follow up skills.
- Presents themselves professionally at all times.
- Ability to sell products and services over the telephone.
- Demonstrates a customer service attitude and the ability to be a team player.
- Proficient using the MS Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
