About the Job
Hurricane Tool & Supply is looking for an Inside Sales Representative. This position will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, purchasing, quoting, and processing orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management.
· Process sales orders, and maintain open and orders
· Provides sales support of Will Call and Counter Sales, and Outside Sales Reps
· Contact customer by phone and email concerning new orders, existing orders, sales returns, shipments and products
· Provide timely and accurate information to new and existing customers when requested
· Work closely with the Credit Department on establishing credit limits, and resolve disputes with customers
· Research vendors and suppliers to ascertain most cost-efficient source of supplies.
· Issue requests and select best source consistent with cost, quality and delivery requirements.
· Handle negotiations with vendors, as needed or requested by management, regarding price points of supplies.
· Complete purchase orders using our designated software. Performs data entry of purchase orders on computer for customers.
· Track backorders, arranges with vendors for delivery and notifies the department manager as to the expected delivery date.
· Expedite and reschedule as necessary to meet customers requirements.
· Research alternative suppliers for obsolete or long lead time parts.
· Authorizing payments and maintain receipts, records and inventories.
· Work with vendors to resolve purchase order issues.
Experience:
· Previous inside sales and purchasing with basic computer data entry experience
· Excel skills is a plus

8 am - 5 pm with an hour lunch
