Job Details
The Information Systems Manager leads the IT department to ensure the organization’s computer systems and technology meet operational needs. This role includes managing a team of IT professionals, addressing technical issues, overseeing system updates, and implementing hardware and software solutions across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the IT department’s budget, allocating resources based on priorities.
Hire, train, and mentor IT staff, including support specialists.
Monitor and review IT team performance, fostering productivity and professional growth.
Collaborate with department heads to assess and address technology needs.
Delegate repair, installation, and troubleshooting tasks effectively.
Maintain and monitor inventory of IT hardware and accessories, ensuring timely procurement.
Develop and execute schedules for system updates and cybersecurity enhancements.
Research and implement new technologies to strengthen the organization’s IT infrastructure.
Create user-friendly documentation for troubleshooting and training purposes.
Communicate IT initiatives and updates with upper management and align strategies with business objectives.
Support IT staff with complex installations or repairs when needed.
Oversee critical systems, including security, fire, access control, and CCTV.
Manage data backup, recovery processes, and cybersecurity measures.
Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Prior experience in enterprise IT environments preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Active Directory, AAD, Office 365, Fortinet, Datto, and ERP systems.
Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Certifications (preferred): CompTIA A+, Network+, Fortinet NSE, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
Excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Negotiation skills for IT procurement and budgeting.
Clear and concise written communication for documentation and reporting.
