Responsibilities
- Immigration Law: Represent clients in matters before government agencies such as Immigration Court (EOIR), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Dept. of State (DOS). Prepare and file petitions, applications, and supporting documents for cases including Asylum, Adjustment of Status, U Visas, VAWA, Waivers, and Cancellation of Removal.
- Special Immigrant Juveniles in Family and Probate Law: Represent clients in California courts exclusively for cases involving abandoned and neglected Special Immigrant Juveniles (SIJS). This includes handling Guardianship and One-Parent Custody petitions, preparing necessary filings, presenting evidence, and advocating for vulnerable children to obtain findings that support their eligibility for immigration relief.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft motions, briefs, and appeals to support litigation strategies in all practice areas.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and offering compassionate, clear guidance through their legal challenges.
- Oversee and collaborate with the legal department’s support staff to ensure effective case management, accurate filings, and timely submissions.
- Any other responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice immigration law (CA Bar Preferred).
- Proven experience in litigating cases effectively.
- Excellent legal research skills.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and government officials.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A commitment to providing high-quality legal services with integrity and professionalism.

- 8 hour shift in Person
