Sodexo is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer 2 to work in a team environment for an opportunity with UTMB (University of Texas Medical Branch) located in Galveston, TX.

ISE II Position Description:
Under direct supervision, this person will inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, system, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems. Participate in on-the-job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.
Searching for motivated person to work on-site in a team environment. GE MRI, CT, Mammography, and X-Ray experience preferred. Responsibilities also include portable X-Ray, C arm, ultrasound, and contrast injectors. Must provide excellent customer service skills and communicate effectively. This account supports four hospitals in a 75-mile radius.
We are a multi-vendor, multi-modality company that services the following:
- GE MRI, CT, Cath, Rad/RF, Mammography, Portables, and C Arms
- Siemens MRI, CT, Cath, and Rad/RF
- Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D mammography and Insite2 C Arms
- Samsung and Shimadzu portables
- Medrad and Acist Contrast injectors
- Philips, GE, and Siemens Diagnostic ultrasound
Prior experience in GE MRI and Hologic 3D Tomo preferred. We are a customer service driven team that delivers exceptional results to our client. Our account services 4 hospitals in the Galveston, Texas area.
The ISE II for this role will possess:
- Have 5+ years of imaging experience
- Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices
- Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required
Technical Duties and Responsibilities for Imaging Service Engineer 2:
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and tools
- Knowledge of basic networking theory
- Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and standards
- Knowledge of safety precautions when servicing high voltages and working with ionizing radiation
- Ability to analyze electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical equipment
- Ability to isolate, test, and replace defective parts
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance inspections of GE MRI
- Ability to maintain accurate records of repairs, calibration, and tests
- Ability to run diagnostic programs
- Skill in testing electronic, radiologic, and mechanical equipment
- Skill in manual dexterity, hand-to-eye coordination, and color vision

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
Basic Functional Experience - 5 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training
