IT System Engineer (Jack of All Trades) - MSP - Bowman Williams

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive IT support and technical project consulting to a diverse range of business clients.
• Manage back-end systems and consult with end users to resolve technical issues.
• Plan, implement, and deploy computer, server, and cloud-based solutions tailored to client needs.
• Handle network reconfigurations and printer setups to ensure seamless operations.
• Provide VoIP deployment, firewall management, virus/malware cleanup, and ongoing help desk support for end users.
• Configure and install computer systems, as well as various Windows servers.
• Manage migrations for M365 and G-Suite environments.
• Build and migrate Azure environments to meet business objectives.
• Implement virtualization solutions using Hyper-V or VMware, including setting up new infrastructure and completing physical-to-virtual (P2V) migrations.

Qualifications:

• Must have: Experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Expertise in VMware or Hyper-V virtual environments.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (M365) migrations.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with networking (LAN/WAN), routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN setup and management.
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Datto, or similar).
• Knowledge of security best practices, including firewall configuration and antivirus solutions.
• Experience with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools like ConnectWise, Kaseya, or SolarWinds.
