POSITION SUMMARY:
IT Support Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the IT systems and assets, assist with upgrades
and fixes, and provide training and support as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge
of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and industry trends to keep us on the cutting
edge. Engaging with employees throughout the company, the IT Support Specialist will have an immediate
impact on the efficiency of our operations and overall growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Helpdesk & Computer Support
• Configure and deploy workstations
• Install software and updates.
• Connect & configure printers, monitors, and other office equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-user devices.
• Provide mobile device support, including setup, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual systems audits, maintenance, and updates.
Local & Remote Support
• Provide support to local and remote sites and employees by using the Help Desk ticketing system.
• Use remote support tolls to diagnose and address technical issues.
• Ensure timely resolution of support tickets and maintain detailed documentation.
Office 365 Administration
• Manage & support Office 365 user accounts, licenses, and permissions.
• Support applications in Office 365 such as Outlook, Teams, One Drive and SharePoint.
• Assist users with Office 365 related issues and provide documented.
• Must obtain Office 365 certification within a year.
Project Assistance
• Support additional projects as needed.
• Participate in IT project planning and implementation, including system upgrades and migrations.
• Ensure that internal audits are performed
Ability to keep up with technical innovations and trends in IT Support.
Perform other related duties as required.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• Familiarity with endpoint management tools and practices.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Office 365 administration and support.
• Knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting.
• Experience with remote support tools and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques, processes and procedures.
• Effective oral and written communication skills both up and down throughout the company.
• Solid analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
• Strong team builder and player.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Preferred certificates such as Comp TIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern
Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud-based services and virtualization technologies.
• Manufacturing experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• The performance of this position will require exposure to manufacturing areas that require the use
of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes and
other mandatory safety equipment.
• For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment
are present throughout the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Sitting, climbing, or standing as needed.
• Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
• Reaching, pushing, pulling, or sitting as required within limits set by the client.
