Position Overview:
- The Information Technology Security/Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for all aspects of information security within the organization, including the proactive monitoring of all information technology assets for potential security issues and the application of security best practices to mitigate risks within the organization.
- Additional responsibilities include facilitating the remediation of organizational risk, control gaps and vulnerabilities identified on risk assessments, security audits, and vulnerability scans.
- The Security Analyst/Infrastructure Analyst will also help develop security policies and procedures as well as assist in the investigation, isolation, documentation and timely resolution of security incidents and breaches.
- The Information Technology Security/Infrastructure Analyst will also help maintain our hybrid data center/cloud environment.
- Perform infrastructure administration tasks in accordance with changing business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and design of enterprise architecture using guidelines/processes for effective change control.
- Participate in the creation of enterprise documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures). Participate in the planning and design of an enterprise Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications.
- Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
- Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security and hosting industries including awareness of new or revised solutions, improved processes and the development of new security and hosting standards.
- Perform the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new infrastructure solutions and of any enhancements to existing solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise's security documents specifically. Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
- Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (i.e., workstations, servers, network devices, etc.)
- Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or Company software systems. Provide backup support to the System Administrators.
- Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of Company applications as necessary.
- Maintain operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established baselines.
- Monitor all in-place security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
- Review logs and reports of all in-place devices, whether they be under direct control (i.e., security tools) or not (i.e., workstations, servers, network devices, etc.)
- Interpret the implications of that activity and devise plans for appropriate resolution.
- Proactive monitoring of environments (internal and external).
- Participate in investigations into problematic activity and in the design and execution of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and security audits and development.
- Provide on-call support for end users for all in-place infrastructure solutions.
- Represents the Information Technology Department professionally in all initiatives.
- Provides support and assistance to department members, as needed.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- One or more of the following certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+, GIAC Information Security Fundamentals, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Security, Associate of (ISC)2.
- Experience:
- Minimum two years relevant work experience.
- Experience with Next Gen Firewalls Fortinet. Experience with VMware.
- Experience with EDR/XDR.
- Knowledge Level:
- Knowledge with endpoint and network security technologies such as antivirus, firewalls, IDS/IPS, web and email content filtering, Data Loss Prevention, and SIEM.
- Technical knowledge of firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, encryption technologies, digital certificates, SSL, VPN, IPSec, TCP/IP, DNS and web security architecture.
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to operate in a self-directed manner with strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.

- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
