Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled IT Project Manager with mid-level experience (up to 10 years) to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate multiple IT projects, ensuring seamless execution and delivery. Beyond project management, this role requires hands-on technical capabilities, exceptional vendor management skills, a talent for crafting polished communication materials, and the ability to act as a Business Systems Analyst to bridge technical and business needs effectively. This position will report directly to the CIO.
Responsibilities:Project Management
- Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring they align with company objectives and timelines.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and their project managers to ensure deliverables meet expectations, are on schedule, and align with contractual commitments.
- Maintain and manage detailed project plans, status reports, and dashboards.
- Identify potential risks and proactively mitigate them.
- Ensure projects adhere to budget constraints and resource allocations.
Business Systems Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for IT projects.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and actionable deliverables for IT teams.
- Work closely with end-users to understand workflows and recommend system improvements or optimizations.
- Facilitate testing and user acceptance processes to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Evaluate current systems and processes, identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, or innovation.
Technical Contributions
- Provide hands-on technical support as needed, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Oversee and maintain SharePoint/Teams sites to facilitate collaboration, document management, and project tracking.
- Leverage technical knowledge to assist in system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
Communication and Collaboration
- Create polished, visually appealing decks to communicate project updates, strategies, and outcomes to diverse audiences (internal IT, user community, executive leadership).
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Drive effective collaboration across cross-functional teams to meet project goals and organizational priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in IT project management or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines.
- Strong technical background with hands-on IT experience (e.g., systems, networks, ERP, CRP or other software tools).
- Proven experience managing vendor relationships and ensuring third-party deliverables meet project requirements.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in creating polished PowerPoint or similar presentations.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, JIRA, or MS Project).
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
- Experience in working directly with executive leadership is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Agile Scrum Master.
- Familiarity with IT environments in rental or equipment management industries.
- Solid experience in SharePoint site management and customization.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools or data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in IT project management or a related technical field.
*This role requires up to 25% travel and the ability to respond in a 24x7 environment.
* Salary range between $115,000 and $126,000 annually DOE
Physical Requirements
- All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job
- Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods. Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week
- Communicate effectively, both oral (in person and on the phone) and written.
- Move around and through all work areas as needed, may include climbing stairs or ladders
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (i.e. books, reports, binders etc.)
- Regularly sit at the assigned workstation
- Use keyboard or equivalent equipment, to access the computer,
- Use hands to manipulate documents and general paperwork to view contents
- Read documents, reports, files etc.
