Summary The GAO is part of the Legislative Branch of the Federal government, all positions are in the excepted service. This position is located in the Government Accountability Office. You will be responsible for leads continuous application enhancements, implements business processes or communications. Responsibilities As a IT Project Manager, PT- 2210- 3 your typical work assignments may include the following: Develops and supports the implementation of larger strategic goals that enhance agency People Values through enhancement of customer experience. Ensures a collaborative culture exists within the team and promote team building. Conducts project retrospectives to obtain feedback from teams and leadership to continuously improve processes and quality. Conducts product and/or project management responsibilities and reporting and manages stakeholder satisfaction supported by strong leadership skills and articulate communication abilities. Communicates with business stakeholders, serves as a Union liaison, and collaborates closely with Agile teams to keep all areas of the business informed on a project/program's development. Completion of a probationary period may be required Qualifications You may qualify at the BAND III level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: IT Specialist Competencies: GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Specialized Experience: The PT-III position require one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band/grade PT-II/GS-12/13 level (or equivalent) in the Federal Service, or comparable private/public sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience must be IT related and is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. One year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the PT-II/GS12/13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to facilitate use of Agile methodologies in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint review meetings. Developing performance work statements, statements of work, and task orders for commercial product procurements and/or contract labor services. Serving as a Contracting Officer's (and/or Technical) Representative (COR/COTR).
