Job Title: Sr. IT Project Manager – Healthcare / Infrastructure
Location: Hybrid onsite 1x per week in Washington DC (Union Center Plaza)
Role Type: 12 + months contract with good chance of extensions and/or perm hire
PURPOSE:
Sr. IT Project Manager, leads, plans, executes, monitors, controls and closes projects. This role oversees and directs complex $5M+ enterprise wide corporate initiatives involving 15-50+ stakeholder groups across several organizational work streams utilizing Agile methodology to deliver results. The Sr. IT Project Manager will work with various cross functional technology teams to deliver and align technology solutions with project timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Should have experience working in the Healthcare industry delivering solutions for Healthcare Claims processing, EDI transactions, healthcare pricing, etc.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading projects in a cross-functional, technical systems implementation
Should have experience leading more infrastructure focused projects and overseeing tasks and initiatives from a technical perspective – this is NOT an application/development focused Project Manager
Should have understanding of web services API calls, message queues, and secure file transfer
Experience leading projects involving networking, servers, firewalls, etc. a plus
Strong communication skills both written and verbal are a must have
Ability to successfully lead in a matrixed environment
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Education Details: Health Informatics, Information Technology, Information Systems or related discipline
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
25% Actively plans and manages large scale technical deliverables and technology roadmaps holistically around scheduled program increments and milestones, scope, cost, resource health and risks while collaborating with stakeholders in key meetings resulting in successful project delivery
25% Plans and owns projects technical deliverables which includes timing implications with key dates while proactively reporting status, scorecard creation and fulfilling project analysis requests by using critical and creative thinking
25% Leads and contributes to vendor selection and procurement activities under program manager guidance while identifying, producing and fulfilling resource and go-live operational plans to insure project success
25% Prepares key documents, present business cases and produces other reports as needed while collaborating with stakeholders to bring projects through project funding conversations and initiation ceremonies
