POSITION TITLE: Sr. Project Manager (IT)
REPORTS TO: VP, Information Systems
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible for managing different initiatives & projects that can be relatively large in complexity and duration with potential for high risk and spend. The types of projects the position can expect will vary from ERP implementations to customer facing business applications, utilizing large resource pools and have substantial stakeholder involvement. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for the timely completion and the quality of the work produced by the project teams that they manage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding of customer requirements and Business Objectives.
- Execute and manage IT projects within the defined scope.
- May require management oversite of other Project Managers
- Works with business and IT management to establish project goals, objectives and deliverables.
- Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed.
- Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues and risks will affect projects working with department, management and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.
- Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks.
- Create deliverable artifacts including PMO plans.
- Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Team and Department manager.
- Measure performance to assure the project is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.
- Support robust project risk management resolution to ensure timely commissioning of all projects with no impact to business continuity.
- Work with global, multi-functional teams to define, estimate, and document the overall scope of projects.
- Coordinate activities of project teams involved in application design, construction, and implementation.
- Proactively manage the project delivery and approvals with little supervision, resolving action items, risks, and issues; proactively identifies subtle issues that could result in major conflicts.
- Organize and verify documentation of the project throughout the life cycle.
- Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from sponsor and stakeholders.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline.
- At least 7 yrs. experience in successful project management, EPR systems preferred.
- PMP or Scrum Master Certification preferred.
- Knowledgeable of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Solid understanding of various types of IT project methodologies and life cycles (e.g., conversions, incremental, rapid delivery, classic or traditional waterfall phases of analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation) and the correct project application.
- Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
