Title: IT Portfolio Manager – Human Resources / Legal
Location: Atlanta, GA 30339 (Hybrid)
Duration: Contract to hire
Compensation: $80-$90/hr

Skillset / Experience:
Global organization is seeking an experienced IT Portfolio Manager to lead the strategic planning, execution, and governance of IT projects specific to the Human Resource and Legal platforms and applications. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills to deliver scalable, efficient, and user-centric solutions for those organizations.
Specifically, this person will lead the design, implementation and optimize solutions for the HCM environment, including the SuccessFactors HCM Platform. They will also engage the Legal organization to assess their current technology footprint, understand their business objectives, identify existing gaps and needs, and develop a strategic roadmap to deliver solutions to create efficiencies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, portfolio optimization, and IT governance, with a proven ability to align technology investments with business objectives.
This person will document priorities across all workstreams, maintain an active list of current work, and create a forward-thinking strategic roadmap. This is a highly visible position that requires the development of a solid relationships with end-users, technical staff, management, consultants, and vendors.
This position requires a self-starter that will provide a single point of contact and accountability for IT solutions to the business.

Human Capital Management
- Lead the design and architecture of HCM related systems including HR Core, Payroll, Benefits Administration, Talent Management, Workforce Planning, and Analytics.
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to understand business requirements, define solutions, and translate business needs into technical designs.
- Drive system alignment that supports a standard HCM Support model for a global business, including the EMEA region.
- Ensure comprehensive solution blueprints, data models, integration patterns, and system configuration run books to support end-to-end HR processes and workflows are complete, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and integration teams to define integration strategies, standards, and patterns for seamless data exchange and interoperability across the HR technology landscape.
- Monitor system performance, user adoption, and feedback to identify optimization opportunities and enhance the overall user experience.
- Meet with vendors and software providers on a regular business to manage system performance and understand the future evolution of their product and how it would apply to the organization.
- Stay abreast of SuccessFactors updates, enhancements, and new features, evaluating their potential impact on existing solutions and recommending upgrades or enhancements as needed.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on HR technology strategies, investments, and innovations.
Legal
- Document existing technology landscape used to support business processes within the Legal organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders within Legal to understand organization goals and priorities, constructing a forward-thinking IT portfolio strategy that aligns with defined business objectives.
- Coordinating their technology needs into specific workplans for the IT organization. Manage a software lifecycle strategy covering ongoing maintenance and support, continuous enhancements and performance metrics.
- Influence business process improvement through standardization, consolidation, and optimization of the overall IT portfolio through effective utilization and adherence to defined process.
- Maintain knowledge level regarding current and future technology trends and best practice. Translate this information into continuous improvement activities to enhance user experience and business performance.
- Work together with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI integration and automation to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that required platform maintenance activities, (system upgrades, security patches and software defect fixes), are included in day-to-day project and release planning for a given platform.
- Work with resource managers to allocate resources across projects, ensuring the right skills are available to meet the agreed upon timelines.
- Establish portfolio governance processes to ensure compliance with organizational standards and policies.
- Conduct formal meetings with business leaders to review systems, performance metrics, project schedules, issues and confirm strategic path forward for their individual platforms.
- Voluntarily takes the first steps to identify and resolve obstacles and roadblocks that prevent forward progress.
- Champion change within the organization that provides a commitment to deliver smooth transition of business process and system changes. Use pervasive influence to embed organizational change.
- Understand the global environment. Identify, evaluate, and integrate relevant inputs and project requests from different operating and business units into the Enterprise IT technology roadmap.
- Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration or related field. Equivalent combinations of education and work experience also considered.
- Preferred: PMP from Project Management Institute strongly preferred.
- SHRM-CP from Society for Human Resource Management strongly preferred.
- 12+ years of IT experience with a comparably sized or larger company
- 7+ years' experience in IT management, business analysis, consulting, process engineering or solutions management or other related area
- 5+ years' experience as a SuccessFactors Architect, Consultant, or similar role, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing SuccessFactors solutions.
- Record of leadership and accomplishments in integrating and servicing large business
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance optimization.
- Experience at planning, organizing, directing, controlling, guiding, supporting work efforts of all sizes and complexity.
- Ability to collaborate with other members of formal and informal groups in the pursuit of common missions, vision, values and mutual goals.
- Ability to understand the organization's portfolio, systems, process or procedures required.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes, identify and understand requirements and develop alternate solutions.
- High awareness and recognizes internal and external clues to help guide future direction and realize opportunities for the organization.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
