With minimal guidance from IT Leadership, the Education Coordinator will assist in the coordination and providing oversight of Epic End User Training. This includes managing new user onboarding, planning training for major implementations, maintaining provider THRIVE training, ensuring training environment stability, facilitating Epic version release training, overseeing all application training tracks, and supporting principal trainers as needed.
Primary responsibilities include:
� Coordinating the setup, support, and oversight of major project and release training events.
� Working with IT staff to ensure training materials are up-to-date and meet MyMichigan standards.
� Updating and maintaining the MyMichigan Epic training environments.
� Assisting IT Application Analysts and Principal Trainers in the coordination of their application training.
The Education Coordinator serves as an intermediary between IT Principal Trainers and IT Managers, ensuring seamless communication and efficient training processes. The role requires an expert understanding of one or more Epic applications or modules, covering all training functions for projects, version updates, and routine maintenance.
The Education Coordinator role exhibits expert knowledge in the use of authoring software for developing variations of computer-based learning, and expert knowledge in the use of in-system assessment tools for Epic applications. Able to present educational activity in a variety of settings and use of different delivery methods. Apply the skills and knowledge required in the use of multimedia applications in the development of training and learning activities.
Responsibilities:(25%)*Uses a strong understanding of business systems and industry requirements to work with business owners and users to document requirements and workflows. Design and maintain content and key system controls (codes tables, master files, user's interfaces etc.).
(15%)* Trouble shoots problems and incidents. Recommends innovative solutions.
(15%)* Collects information regarding potential system enhancement needs and analyzes new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used.
(15%)* Evaluate and assess a range of technology-based learning models and integrate the use of effective technologies in supporting learner success.
(10%)* Actively participates in the planning, executing and documenting of supporting evidence of application training.
(10%)* Analyzes application capabilities to optimize its use within workflows through active involvement in testing and facilitating end user validation testing.
(5%)* Assists in cross training team members and users.
(5%)* Participates in additional projects including software updates and changes.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exhibit a commitment to exceptional customer service while providing Go-Live or Daily end user support and training of Applications.
Maintains expertise as subject matter expert in one or more applications and all training areas. Utilize knowledge of Epic training guidelines and MyMichigan Standards to assist Leadership and Analysts in the supervision of the various Epic Training Programs.
Deliver prompt, efficient, and effective customer assistance by skillfully addressing reported concerns until they are successfully resolved.
Participate in the build, testing, and upkeep of system applications and training environments.
Assist with the development and implementation of curriculum
Work with individual Principal and Credentialed Trainers to help them develop and improve instruction methods and serve as a resource on instructional best practices
Observe classrooms and provide feedback to Credentialed Trainers
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms, making adjustments as necessary.
Assists in the recruitment, training and supervision of Credentialed Trainers, including conducting performance evaluation
Facilitate and lead meetings, manage priorities, resolve conflicts, maintain a comprehensive issues list, and maintain project tasks within specified timelines.
Leads application training teams in coordinating the design, build, testing, training, and troubleshooting of their primary application. Supports all staff in efforts to resolve critical issues and meet deadlines.
Manage medium to large-size requests from inception to completion. Develop and manage plans and timelines, coordinate resources within IT, and ensure that requests are delivered within scope and on time.
Execute system updates and changes in accordance to IT incident and change policies and procedures. Including documentation of process, testing, and approvals.
Actively participate in strategic planning for the training systems and develop implementation plans for new system functionality and major projects. Works collaboratively with other members of the IT team and end-users to develop and implement these plans.
Participates in an on-call support rotation to address organizational urgent needs.
Travel between MyMichigan and affiliated Locations may be required to support applications and go-live implementations.

Required Education:BACHELORS DEGREE
**Bachelors in IT, business, or healthcare field with three (3) or more years of work-related experiences providing advanced application system support.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & SKILLS:
One (1) or more active Epic Certification(s)/Accreditation(s) or other relevant healthcare Certifications, demonstrating expertise in specific applications.
Quickly learns new system functionality and keeps up to date with the latest application enhancements.
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Ability to apply best practices in course, program, and training development using effective instructional design and models supporting technology-based learning in various instructional situations.
Five (5) or more years prior work experience within Healthcare, Education, Instructional Systems Design or Healthcare IT, with a strong understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare terminology, and industry standards.
Displays analytical thinking skills to dissect complex problems, assess various options, and make informed decisions in support of Applications.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure system integrity and accuracy.
Demonstrates adult learning methodologies with the use of effective tools and styles for designing and delivery of learning experiences for adults
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with stakeholders, team members, and end users in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to interact positively with end users and teammates, empathizing with their needs and translating them into system enhancements.
Actively seeks and shares information appropriately with open and accessible environment that encourages free flow of information

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
