IT Business Analyst - Randstad USA

job summary:

We have an immediate need for a Sr. IT Business Analyst for a 12+ month contract for a client located in San Antonio.

Ideally we are looking for a candidate that meets the following criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in financial services.

• Proven experience in transformation projects

• Knowledge of Waterfall methodologies

• strong understanding of commercial lending processes

• Experience with core banking systems, loan origination platforms, and workflow automation tools.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and modeling techniques.

• strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize competing demands effectively.

• Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.

• Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus.

• Financial Industry Experience

responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of current commercial lending processes, identifying inefficiencies, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements.

• Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional and technical requirements.

• Work closely with technical teams to design scalable solutions aligned with project goals and regulatory requirements.

• Support system configuration, testing, and validation to ensure solutions meet business needs.

• Develop process flows, wireframes, and user stories to illustrate new workflows.

• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to gather input from business units, credit analysts, risk management, and compliance teams.

• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project deliverables.

• Analyze and model lending data to support decision-making and solution design.

• Support training and user adoption efforts by creating documentation and conducting user training sessions.

• Ensure smooth handover of deliverables to operations teams post-implementation.
