INVENTORY SPECIALIST-OPERATING ROOM

Southwest General has 16 operating rooms that provide a variety of surgical services. Patient acuity varies. Call is required, and on call sleep rooms are available. Amount of call and weekends depend on department needs.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Specialist I team member serves as a resource to the clinical staff in Perioperative Services. The Inventory Specialists are the first contact for the staff regarding supply and instrument needs for surgical cases. Inventory specialists are responsible for ordering, maintaining and outdating supplies in the inventory locations within Perioperative Services.

Education:
High School Diploma

Required length of experience:
Recent surgical clinical experience required. Previous medical inventory experience preferred. Surgical Technician preferred
