Hybrid Forklift Driver/Warehouse Team Lead - Orison Solutions

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Hybrid Forklift Driver / Warehouse Team Lead to join our dynamic team. This role combines hands-on forklift operation with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day warehouse operations while maintaining safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead by example.

Key Responsibilities:

Forklift Operation

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.

Inspect forklifts daily for operational safety and report any maintenance needs.

Ensure accurate placement and retrieval of inventory in designated areas.

Warehouse Duties

Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods to maintain inventory accuracy.

Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments.

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor a team of warehouse associates to meet productivity goals.

Delegate tasks and monitor team performance to ensure efficiency and compliance with company standards.

Train new employees on forklift operation, warehouse procedures, and safety guidelines.

Collaborate with management to implement process improvements and address challenges.

Administrative Tasks

Record and report inventory movements and discrepancies.

Prepare reports and update warehouse management systems (WMS).

Assist with scheduling and ensuring adequate staffing levels.

Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years of forklift operation experience.

Prior experience in a warehouse leadership or supervisory role preferred.

Skills:

Proficient in operating sit-down, forklifts (previous certification a plus).

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to [50 lbs/75 lbs].

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Certifications:

OSHA-compliant forklift certification (preferred).
