Hybrid Cloud Engineer (The Multi-Cloud Strategist) - Unreal Gigs
Austin, TX
About the Job
Are you an expert in designing and managing hybrid cloud environments that seamlessly integrate on-premises infrastructure with public cloud services? Do you have the technical skills and strategic vision to create solutions that optimize performance, security, and scalability across multiple platforms? If you’re ready to bridge the gap between on-premises and cloud environments, our client has the perfect role for you. We’re seeking a Hybrid Cloud Engineer (aka The Multi-Cloud Strategist) to design, build, and manage complex hybrid cloud systems that support business growth and technological agility.
As a Hybrid Cloud Engineer at our client, you’ll collaborate with cloud architects, network engineers, and security specialists to create and maintain integrated cloud solutions. Your expertise will ensure seamless operations across both on-premises data centers and cloud services, empowering the organization to harness the best of both worlds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Hybrid Cloud Solutions:
- Architect and deploy hybrid cloud infrastructures that integrate on-premises environments with public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). You’ll manage connectivity, data synchronization, and system compatibility across environments.
- Ensure High Availability and Performance:
- Develop strategies for load balancing, failover, and redundancy to maintain system reliability and optimal performance. You’ll monitor resources and implement scaling solutions to meet demand.
- Integrate Security and Compliance Standards:
- Implement security protocols and ensure that hybrid environments meet compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). You’ll manage data protection, secure access, and encryption across all platforms.
- Automate Hybrid Cloud Management:
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of resources. You’ll streamline operations and enhance consistency through automation.
- Support Data Migration and Integration:
- Plan and execute data migration strategies between on-premises and cloud environments. You’ll ensure data integrity, minimal downtime, and adherence to best practices during migration.
- Monitor and Optimize System Performance:
- Implement monitoring and management tools to track hybrid cloud performance and identify areas for optimization. You’ll use tools like Prometheus, Datadog, or CloudWatch to maintain transparency and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work with IT, development, and security teams to align hybrid cloud solutions with business and technical requirements. You’ll provide technical guidance and support for team members involved in hybrid cloud projects.
