Hybrid Environment & Energy Associate

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $128,000 to $170,000 annually, depending on experience, expertise, and skill level.

Buffalo, Rochester, Saratoga Springs, or

Albany offices

About the Role:

We are seeking an Environment & Energy Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience representing clients in a variety of environmental and energy-related matters. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, vibrant practice group widely recognised for its expertise in environmental regulatory compliance, renewable energy development, and complex environmental litigation.

Key Highlights of the Role:

• Engage in a wide range of work including environmental regulatory complianceremedial project managementlitigation, and administrative practice
• Support renewable energy project siting, permitting, and development, as well as project acquisition, financing, and transfer transactions.
• Draft and negotiate environmental contractual provisions and agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in environmental and energy matters, including appearances before administrative bodies
• Handle permitting, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and transactional matters in the energy and environmental sectors
• Conduct litigation in relevant fields, including depositionsmotion practicecourt appearances, and electronic discovery

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Demonstrated experience in environmental and/or energy law.
• Strong academic credentials with excellent written and verbal communication skills

This salary range applies to candidates working in Buffalo, Rochester, Saratoga Springs, or

Albany offices. Candidates based in other locations may have different compensation packages tailored to their regions.
