Job Description:
As the sole HR representative at the company, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources as well as focus on talent acquisition. You will work closely with leadership to ensure the company attracts, hires, and retains top talent while maintaining a positive and productive workplace environment. A technical understanding of the battery industry or prior experience in recruiting within this space is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process for all roles, including job postings, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and extending offers.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and candidate profiles.
- Utilize job boards, LinkedIn, and other recruiting platforms to attract top talent.
Employee Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Ensure all required documentation and compliance steps are completed for new employees.
- Manage the offboarding process for departing employees, including exit interviews and paperwork.
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Employee Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related inquiries.
- Promote a positive company culture and ensure alignment with organizational values.
- Organize company events
Training & Development:
- Assist in the development of training programs to support employee growth and development.
- Identify opportunities for improving employee skills, retention, and performance.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure the company’s HR practices comply with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory reporting as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in HR.
- Be capable of expanding and overseeing the HR department as the company evolves.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment or small business is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Technical knowledge of the battery or renewable energy industries is a strong plus.
- Experience with employee benefits, and HR administration.
- Incredibly organized and efficient and good at adapting to a fast-paced start-up
