HR Generalist

Pay: $34–$37/hour (Contract-to-Hire); $77k–$83k/year (Permanent)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the onboarding process to create a positive experience for new employees.
• Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR-related inquiries and issues.
• Manage employee relations matters, ensuring a fair and supportive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, including FMLA and OSHA requirements.
• Administer HR programs, including benefits, leaves, and performance management.
• Maintain accurate employee data within HR systems and produce detailed reports.
• Support payroll operations and collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Review and update HR policies to align with organizational objectives and legal standards.
• Participate in strategy discussions to support HR process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certifications preferred).
• 2–5 years of HR experience, with expertise in employee relations, compliance, and HR operations.
• Proven experience working with unionized workforces.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• Strong understanding of employment laws and HRIS systems (Paycom experience is a plus).
• Ability to manage competing priorities with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
