Overview:
Steampunkis looking for a Human Resource Generalist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for the following: benefits, compliance, performance management, onboarding/offboarding and/or training. The individual hired for this position will assist the Human Resources team with day-to-day operations.
Contributions:
As an HR Generalist you will be a champion of culture and creating a strong partnership across the business and helping to drive great employee experience through the people of the organization. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuously changing priorities is a huge plus. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducting employee new hire orientation and helping to organize training and development initiatives.
Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics. Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies.
Assist in the administration of employee benefit plans such as health, dental, vision, life, 401(k), paid time off and disability.
Organize quarterly and annual employee performance reviews.
Provide excellent customer service to Steampunk employees by responding to inquiries on benefits related programs, and other subject matter, in a timely manner.
Responsible for compliance with pertinent federal, state, and local regulations
Maintain employee files and records electronically.
Assist with the creation and improvement of new HR and cross-functional processes
Maintains HRIS records through ADP and compile reports from the database.
Assists in the preparation and delivery of presentations and reports for managers and employees on a variety of HR related topics.
Assists with other assignments and/or special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of human resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resource Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) is a plus
Proficient in ADP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
Demonstrates business maturity and integrity, especially when dealing with highly confidential matters.
Takes initiative to be a problem-solver and seeks opportunities for process improvement.
Proven understanding of human resources concepts required.
Ability to work collaboratively with all departments and management levels within the company.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
Proven organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with ongoing demands.
Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
