You are a great human resources professional with the skillset, curiosity, and motivation that is a perfect fit for any HR department in nearly every industry. You'll be participating in and helping shape and improve the day-to-day operations of HR functions.
The ideal candidate is highly responsible, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, personable, and has the ability to maintain a strict code of confidentiality. You must have a demonstrated aptitude for working well with people, and the desire to jump in and contribute to an agile, fun, and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Take point on inquiries around policies, procedures, payroll, time-keeping, benefits, leave of absence, etc.
- Take ownership of onboarding for all the organization's new hires and offboarding for departing employees.
- Take ownership of Survios Payroll and Time Tracking System (Timestar) for both Semi-Monthly Exempt Employees and Bi-Weekly Non-Exempt Employees.
- Ensure the integrity of employee data by processing HR transactions and maintaining employee information in Insperity.
- Supports HR and Company Management by designing and providing customized employee reports & analysis on things such as Performance, Compensation, etc
- Possess an employee-centric mindset with the ability to represent the company while still providing for the employee's concerns, needs, and overall well-being.
- Provide HR and HR Partners with reporting and special projects as required.
- Assist HR with employee relations situations as they arise.
- Ownership of the entire performance review process including but not limited to system/process changes, training, and administration.
- Event planning for employee engagement initiatives and events.
- Support the HR team with administrative tasks including creating team meeting agendas, planning team events, filing, and other clerical tasks as they arise.
- Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
- Recommend strategies to motivate employees.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends, compliance, state labor laws, and best practices.
Requirements:
- 4 - 5 years of proven work experience as an HR Generalist or HR-related role.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Working knowledge in California employment law.
- Excellent customer service, conflict management, and organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and interface with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization.
- High level of integrity as demonstrated personally and professionally.
- Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- A strong interest in HR.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and G Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly.
- Exceptional professional communication skills and comfortable speaking in front of audiences.
- Positive, charismatic attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful, and flexible.
- Utilizes data to drive decisions around processes.
- Ability to think strategically and creatively.

- Solid knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and best practices.
- Familiarity with HR databases.
- Supports workplace diversity.
Pluses:
- Experience with HR Systems, specifically Insperity.
- Experience working in the Games Industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, Communications, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or related field.
- Experience in the Event/Hospitality Industry.
- PHR/SHRM-CP certification.
- A passion for VR & Gaming.
- A love for fun and dogs.

Base salary range between $85,000 to 100,000 USD (Base salary range for applicants located within the United States)
