Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist in
Lake Zurich, IL.
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing HR initiatives and employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This individual will manage employment processes and analyze data to report on HR metrics for informed decision-making. This position requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of business administration, and effective leadership abilities.
What You'll Do
- Plan and coordinate human resources activities, policies, and programs.
- Hire and onboard new employees, negotiating employment agreements.
- Process payroll bi-weekly.
- Oversee employee benefits and ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Maintain employee relations and enforce recruitment, management, and employee relations policies.
- Refine employee standards and procedures using existing HR systems and recommended improvements.
- Enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation.
- Assist with recruitment efforts, establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with national and local HR regulations through investigations and record maintenance.
- Identify and recommend improvements to internal standard operating procedures, including team restructuring and morale building.
- Manage the Shared Service Agreement with the outsourced IT Service Provider.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related business field.
- 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role
- Strong understanding of organizational operations to meet objectives.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
- Strong business acumen with attention to the human element.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- High ethical standards and a diligent approach to responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
