CULTA is the premier, vertically integrated cannabis company in Maryland that cultivates, extracts, processes, distributes and retails cannabis and cannabis-related products. We proudly grow all of our own cannabis in processing facilities in Cambridge and sell products in our flagship Baltimore dispensary as well as dispensaries throughout the state.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a member of CULTA's Leadership Team, the HR Director will be responsible for providing HR leadership, consulting, and expertise across several business functions to support the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic and operational plans. The HR Director will align CULTA's Human Resources strategies with business strategies and successfully implement critical people initiatives in a fast-paced, complex, and rapidly growing business.
This role covers all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning & development, talent acquisition, HRIS and employee experience. Additionally, the HR Director will drive strategic initiatives aimed at positioning the company as a "Best Place to Work," fostering an environment of employee engagement and organizational excellence.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- A Bachelor's degree in HR or Business (Master's or MBA preferred).
- 10+ years in HR, with 5+ years of management experience in large organizations (pharma or manufacturing experience is a bonus).
- Strong consultative skills, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative, can-do attitude.
- Ability to gather and analyze data and present a strategic business case.
- Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Significant experience partnering with executives and their leadership teams in designing and delivering a people agenda across multiple sites
- Track record of resolving complex people issues, deploying expertise and judgment in balancing business and employee-centric perspectives. Commercial decision-making and a strong focus on delivering business outcomes
- Strong ability to get work done through teamwork across a matrixed organization
- High levels of drive and energy to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic organization
- Strong ability to challenge the status quo; passion for leading change with strong proof of delivery in this area
- Breadth of HR expertise across the full employee lifecycle with deep expertise in one or more people / talent / organization specialties
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
- Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
