Position Title: HR Coordinator
Reports to: HR Manager
Department: Human Resources
Status: Full-Time; Exempt
Position Value Proposition
The Human Resource Coordinator provides support to the business in the functional areas of operations, accounting, finance, employment coordination, employee onboarding and overall employee relations.
Key Performance Objectives
• Manage employee onboarding/offboarding lifecycle .
• Submit IT tickets for all new hires.
• Responsible for resolving employee questions and concerns employment matters.
• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and security of Employee Data & Record retention.
• Perform regular audits as needed and required.
• Creates and processes personnel status changes.
• Coordinates all pre-employment screening such as drug tests, reference checks and employment verifications.
• Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
• Administers E-Verify.
Work Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of related HR administrative experience in a heavy manufacturing or construction industry is preferred.
Education/Training
High school diploma/general equivalency diploma (GED). A Bachelors Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, Business Management or a closely related field is preferred.
Specialized Knowledge Certificates & Licenses
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to interpret complex problems and articulate in an effective manner.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations. Specifically, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA laws and regulations.
• Ability to work with diverse work groups and foster teamwork.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• PHR preferred.
Software & Technology
Position will require the frequent use of MS Windows 7 and/or MS Windows 10, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, and MS Outlook. Working experience with ADP or similar platform is preferred.
Work Environment
This position is indoors and may sit for long periods of eight (8) hours or more per day. Occasionally this position will require the need to be outdoors in the production areas. Position is in a highly industrial work environment subject to outdoor climates.
