Compensation: $32 - $36 / hr

About the Position:
The HR Business Partner plays a pivotal role in our company's growth by providing administrative support to the HR department. Accountability
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Monitor monthly compliance reports, create action plans for the area of responsibility and prioritize location visits based on overall compliance opportunities.
- Actively provide day-to-day tactical HR leadership and counsel to management in the area of employment law and labor relations under the direction of the Regional HR Manager and EVP.
- Proactively work with team members and management to resolve work-related conflicts.
Communication
- Manage internal customer expectations by communicating project status updates and issues, resolving concerns, analyzing time and cost issues, and preparing reports.
Family
- Assist fellow team members during busy periods or when needed, promoting a sense of unity and cooperation within the department.
- Participate in grievance meetings and contract interpretations.
Exceptional Service
- Recommend fresh approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the departmental efficiency and services performed.
- Conduct investigations, manage benefits eligibility, leave provisions and workers compensation processes, ensuring timely review and submission.
- Execute strategy for Corporate HR initiatives and tailor delivery to division offices, managing the efficient rollouts.
Profitability
- Provide labor relations support in unionized locations. In union-free locations, make sure that proactive employee relations programs are in place to maintain union-free status.
About YOU
- 3+ years in an exempt-level HR generalist role supporting a region or division of 300+ employees.
- Mastery of Federal and State employment law for the region/state of oversight.
- Experience managing employee relation issues from investigation to resolution.
- Superior communication skills, written and verbal, able to effectively address all levels within the organization.
- Ability to prioritize work within a multi-tasking environment and understand and meet deadlines and due dates.
- Good strategic planning and operational sensibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to complete ad hoc projects and deliverables as requested.
- Ability to travel to various locations/regional offices on occasion.
- Union experience preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate degree preferred.
