We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Business Partner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our HR department by managing various HR processes, supporting employees, and assisting with key HR functions. This role requires a proactive approach to handling HR tasks related to employee lifecycle management, compliance, and HR administration. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for day-to-day HR tasks such as onboarding, employee verifications, terminations and offboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining accurate employee records. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and the capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Onboarding & Orientation: o Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, including preparing offer letters, collecting required documents, and coordinating new hire orientation. o Set up new employee profiles in HRIS and ensure all necessary paperwork (e.g., W-4, I-9 forms) is completed accurately and timely. o Conduct new hire orientation sessions to introduce company policies, benefits, and employee resources. o Work with department managers to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into their roles. Offboarding & Terminations: o Administer the offboarding process for departing employees, including conducting exit interviews, collecting company property, and coordinating final payroll. o Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to terminations, including severance and COBRA benefits. o Maintain accurate documentation and reporting on employee separations. 3. Employee Lifecycle & Records Management: o Maintain up-to-date and accurate employee records in HRIS, including job titles, department assignments, compensation changes, and performance reviews. o Ensure compliance with legal requirements for employee records, including confidentiality and document retention policies. 4. Employee Verifications & Compliance: o Handle employment verifications for current and former employees, including reference checks and verifications of employment for mortgages, loans, etc. o Stay up to date with labor laws and ensure company policies comply with state and federal regulations. 5. Employee Relations & Support: o Provide timely responses and guidance to employees on HR-related matters. 6. HRIS Management: o Maintain and update the HR Information System (HRIS) with employee data, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. o Generate reports from HRIS for management, including headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics. 7. Benefits Administration: o Assist employees with questions related to benefit plans, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. o Support the annual open enrollment process, ensuring all employee elections are accurately processed. 8. General HR Support: o Assist with HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement programs, training sessions, and performance management. o Provide administrative support for the HR team, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling confidential information. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. • 2-3 years of experience in HR administration, generalist roles, or related fields. • Experience with Paylocity is preferred. • Strong understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations. • Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
