The HR Business Partner-Associate plays a critical role in aligning human resource objectives with the goals and objectives of an assigned business unit. The Associate collaborates directly with leadership to help drive decisions that improve business outcomes, employee experience and workplace culture and environment. The HR Business Partner-Associate independently coordinates the delivery of HR solutions through effective teamwork and acts as a single point of contact to leaders and teammates for the execution of human capital programs, processes, initiatives, or plans. The HR Business Partner-Associate’s goal is to develop an in-depth understanding of the assigned business unit to leverage and combine with a strong HR acumen when providing confidential feedback and advice. Success in this role hinges on the ability to think critically, use strong communication skills, and understand of both HR principles and the business operation, while exercising judgement to escalate issues that may require more senior HR oversight. $64,022-$83,339-$102,436
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes, builds and maintains positive relationships to ensure all elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs. This includes implementation of HR programs, relationship management and service delivery commitments. Manages and guides the human resources services, policies, practices and programs for an area of the business. Responsible for contributing to the development of a productive work culture and work environment within the assigned business unit. Serve as the face of HR to the business unit, ensuring clear understanding of HR policies and programs, and monitoring the workplace for positive employee and team dynamics while supporting employees during a shift of an organization or other changes.
- Collaborates closely with leaders to assess, improve and ultimately measure effective work morale, productivity and retention. Help with ensuring consistent implementation of policies and programs and driving employee engagement efforts. May gather and manage employee data or feedback, conduct surveys, climate assessments or otherwise gathers feedback and presents this information to their managers. Monitors and provides feedback on practices, behaviors, skill requirements, morale and processes effecting the work culture and environment and ability to achieve goals. Works with managers to develop performance criteria, development plans, and assess employee potential. Serves as a liaison between employees and management to help resolve differences while overseeing relationships and challenges between coworkers as well as employees and their supervisors. Create manageable systems to answer employee and manager questions.
- Contributes to managing and implementing programs and initiatives to attract, retain and promote a diverse and inclusive workforce. Assists in the development of the people strategies for an assigned business unit(s) and change management projects and manages the HR related internal and external communication. Advises management of HR regulations or policies and ensures a safe, compliant and supportive work environment.
- Engage in staff planning and work with leaders to make decisions about department processes and people. Manage transfers, promotions, demotions and workforce changes within a designated Business Line, preparing necessary documentation. The HR Business Partner Associate has an effective business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.
- Work as the ambassador of the HR organization to represent the services and resources available to teammates and help lead and enhance the collective reputation of the HR organization as a whole. Single point of contact into HR for all levels of teammates.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- As required, travels to branches, departments and other locations.
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in HR, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum experience required: 3+ Years of Human Resources experience (or combination of a relevant degree and experience) with 2 years of HR experience in a business-facing role as a business partner/consultant or generalist, or other HR functional experience.
- Experience partnering with business leaders, providing feedback to help influence outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification from SHRM or HRCI preferred.
