Position: Human Resource Manager
Williamsport North Rehabilitation Nursing Center, part of the Eden East network, is seeking an amazing Human Resource Manager for our Skilled Nursing facility. The ideal candidate must possess prior HR experience, more of a generalist role.
Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Interviewing, hiring, onboarding, orientation experience
- Experience with employee relations, disciplines, terminations
- Payroll (willing to train)
- Knowledge of FMLA and workers comp (preferred but not required, willing to train)
- Completes all new hire documentation and onboarding processes
- Maintains an understanding of credentials, licenses, certifications, evaluations, and federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Maintains employee filing on an ongoing basis; ensuring documents are placed in the appropriate places within the correct files.
- Updates terminated employee files.
- Complete Payroll (bi-monthly)
- Enters and verifies data on electronic databases.
- Assists with the employee relations, recruitment, staffing, and customer service operations of the Human Resources department.
- Assists in terminations, corrective actions, and implementation of organizational changes, dispute resolution, and other HR tasks.
- Provides management with advice on minor corrective actions and/or terminations, and/or assists with investigations as needed.
- Completes special HR projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- This job is ideal for individuals with HR experience from entry-level to managerial level. We are open to candidates with the following backgrounds; HR Assistance, Human Resources internships or recently graduated from university and looking to get into the Human Resources field.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of previous HR experience
- Experience in Healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
- Experience with Paychex payroll software preferred but not required (willing to train)
- detail-orientated, personable/outgoing, critical thinker
- someone aiming to be an Administrator is a PLUS
