Job Title: Housekeeping Director

Job Summary: The Housekeeping Director is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations within a skilled nursing facility. This role ensures that the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeping Director manages the housekeeping staff, develops cleaning schedules, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department.

• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness.

• Supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.

• Manage inventory and order cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.

• Address and resolve any housekeeping-related issues or complaints.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to facility maintenance.

• Prepare and manage the housekeeping department budget.

• Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities and staff performance.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.

• Previous experience in a housekeeping management role, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

• Ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and housekeeping management software.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
