About the Job
Overall Scope & Responsibility:
Supervise the overall functions of the Housekeeping Department. Ensure room and inventory control. Work closely with Front office department to meet guest requests and hotel demand.
Essential Duties:
- Open housekeeping: check rooms inventory, assign rooms to room/suite attendants.
- Inspect rooms, showrooms, VIP and suites.
- Complete reports, verify status reports; report clean suites to hotel front desk
- and/ or load into automated property management systems.
- Communicate discrepancies with Front Desk.
- Monitor payroll reports and work schedules.
- Monitor lost and found program.
- Ensure stock rooms and carts are maintained with proper supplies.
- Provide customer service to guests (internally/externally), including information about hotel services, activities, and local attractions.
- Promote team member loyalty and empowerment.
- Communicate and coordinate with Engineering the repair and maintenance
- programs as related to guestrooms and public areas.
- Monthly linen inventory.
- Ensure special guest requests are followed though.
- Manage the daily flow of the Department.
