Job Description
Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Houseperson to join our team. As a Housekeeping Houseperson, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel. You will support the housekeeping department by delivering linen and supplies, ensuring that guest areas are spotless, and assisting Room Attendants in creating a welcoming and pristine environment for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Linen & Supplies: Deliver linen and terry to Room Attendants from the laundry department and ensure linen room closets are stocked at par levels.
- Room Stripping: Strip vacant dirty rooms of trash and linen, including rooms designated for cleaning and dropped rooms, to support efficient turnover.
- Hallways & Stairways: Remove trays from guest hallways and maintain the cleanliness of guest stairways, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment.
- Supply Delivery: Promptly deliver housekeeping supplies to Room Attendants and other hotel staff as needed to maintain smooth operations.
- Project Work: Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned, ensuring the hotel remains in top condition at all times.
- Guest Requests: Anticipate, listen, and follow through with all guest requests in a timely and professional manner, enhancing the guest experience.
- Communication: Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel to the appropriate departments, ensuring quick resolution and continued guest satisfaction.
- Safety & Security: Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security, and report any concerns to department managers or Loss Prevention in a timely manner.
- Team Support: Provide coverage for Room Attendants as needed, maintaining flexibility and a team-oriented approach.
- Meetings & Training: Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed and improve skills.
Qualifications
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance at all times.
- Flexibility: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and move, push, and pull objects weighing up to 200 lbs. without assistance. Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
