Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Manager to oversee all facets of our establishment, with a strong emphasis on managing and elevating our event venue operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in hospitality management, event planning, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Management: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of events hosted at the property, including weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings. Ensure all events run smoothly and meet or exceed client expectations.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated hospitality professionals. Foster a positive work environment and encourage continuous professional development.
- Customer Relations: Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing and resolving any issues promptly. Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the financial aspects of the event venue operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost management.
- Operational Efficiency: Implement and maintain efficient operational procedures to enhance productivity and service quality. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Marketing and Business Development: Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the event venue and develop strategies to attract new business. Participate in community events and networking to raise the profile of the property.
- Facility Management: Oversee the maintenance and presentation of the event spaces, ensuring they are always in pristine condition and prepared for guests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality management, with at least 2 years in an event management role.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
